The right song
Today I was faced with a situation I'm not often faced with...Let me explain. I am a student. As a student I often have tests, papers, finals, etc. I also listen to music. A lot. I listen to music while walking, driving, studying, jogging, working and hum it when I'm not listening to it. Its a big part of my life.
Today I finished the hardest academic week I've ever had. I had a test on Monday in History of the Early Church, a test on Tuesday in Research Design and Statistics, and an Annotated Bibliography due today in RDS. For the past week and a half I've been studying, fretting, cramming, typing, procrastinating, editing, and reviewing. Today, its done. I turned my bibliography in and returned to my seat with a big smile on my face.
One of my classmates sitting near me echoed my relief when she said "When I was done last night I danced all around the room!" That got me to thinking...I need a song to mark this occasion. The I-Just-Got-Done-With-My-Annotated-Bibliography-and-Now-Its-Over! song. This song is no ordinary song! It has to be fun. It has to be happy. And it needs to relieving. I narrowed my selection to two songs.
Song 1: God Save the Foolish Kings by House of Heroes
A really fun pop punk song about a Summer night in America. Very West Side story.
Song 2: Cameras by Matt and Kim
A fun indie pop song that is really fun to listen to loudly and makes me happy.
In the end I went with Cameras. From now on when I here this song I'll think of that time sitting in class just done. I like that.
