A few years ago a girl had come into his office where he worked as a college chaplain at La Sierra University. The girl was blind. Together they studied the Bible and met on a weekly basis. The chaplain was constantly amazed with this girl's attitude towards her condition and her attitude towards God. She was at peace with her problem and didn't hold it against God.
The summer came and the girl left for break. The next fall the chaplain was in his office talking to students when a girl appeared in his doorway with tears running down her face. "You, are Pastor Leanor. I know you. I recognize your voice!" During the summer her medical problem had been solved.
That is how we will be when we meet Jesus. Though we don't know exactly what He looks like, when we meet Him face to face we'll know its Him. I have a picture of Jesus on my wall beside my bed. Its a classic picture, one that is in Bibles and childrens books. Jesus looks very noble and peaceful. I'm not sure thats what Jesus looks like. He may be short. He may have blue eyes. He may be clean shaven. Though I'm unsure of His physical appearance, I'll know His voice when I hear it.
